Initial situation: Warehouse management required manual data entry.
As a technical wholesaler, Tröger & Entenmann offers a wide range of products in the areas of water, gas and wastewater. The group of companies covers everything related to supply and disposal as well as drinking water systems. With eleven branches, the entire southern and eastern German economic area is covered. Until now, depending on the progress of digitalization and the size of the respective warehouse, the warehouses were managed by printing out documents in the warehouse, checking off the document items and then entering them into an ERP system. However, the existing ERP system could no longer be provided with updates due to various customer-specific changes and therefore needed to be replaced.
The introduction of Iptor Multiflex ERP
As the processes in the partner company EBERO AG are similar, the existing database served as the starting point for processes, procedures and basic settings. In close coordination with the project team of the T&E Group, deviating requirements were to be developed and then reprogrammed in the software. In a large number of workshops in Heidelberg and Aschaffenburg the functioning and the possible uses of the software at Ebero AG was first presented to a selected field of participants from the T&E Group. Based on this, the different possible applications and requirements of the T&E Group were then developed and adapted.
Iptor multiflex not only acted as a software manufacturer, but also supported the T&E Group as an experienced consultant. Iptor multiflex always examined the customer's requests for changes against the background of the programming and maintenance effort, discussed the results together and worked out a solution that was optimal for both sides.
Working with real-time data is now possible.
The T&E Group can now access a uniform ERP system that delivers data in real time. Thanks to digitization and automation, processes are now uniformly mapped in the system across the group and are also implemented more consistently. As a result, sources of error have been reduced. Through the collaboration with EBERO AG, cost synergies can be increased and data quality improved.
