Initial situation
The Austrian family business REIFEN RITZ was founded in 1952 as a workshop and has grown steadily ever since. The company now has around 120 employees spread across nine locations in eastern Austria (Burgenland and Lower Austria) and a subsidiary in Sopron, Hungary. The range of services offered by the tire specialist includes tire services, automotive master services, depot management and tire insurance.
Since 1998, REIFEN RITZ has been a member of TOP REIFEN TEAMS, an Austria-wide cooperation of 15 qualified specialist tire companies with the aim of providing comprehensive vehicle support within Austria through over 90 branches. The TOP REIFEN TEAMS group has been working with the ERP system mx.ERP from Iptor multiflex (then still POLLEX-LC) since 2003. REIFEN RITZ previously used a different ERP system, but decided to switch to the software used by the group in 2015.
The transition to mx.ERP
The changeover to the new ERP system mx.ERP took place relatively quickly. After initial discussions with Mr. Dachs in November 2015, an agreement was quickly reached and the project was launched at the beginning of 2016. The go-live took place just six months later - on June 1, 2016. After the go-live, the employees of REIFEN RITZ were trained by the employees of Iptor multiflex. The training was split into 2 x 5 days so that ongoing operations could be guaranteed.
How has tire retailing improved?
The use of mx.ERP has not only simplified the exchange of data with the group for REIFEN RITZ, they also benefit from the numerous specific functions that the software manufacturer Iptor multiflex has developed especially for the requirements of the tire trade. For example:
✅Up to ten condition levels can be specified.
✅Article master with the option of specifying numerous profiling criteria.
✅Integrated appointment scheduler so that customers can book their appointments themselves (an order is created directly when an appointment is booked).
✅The option of securities account management
✅The web store has numerous search and filter functions specifically for tire dealers
✅The possibility to use various interfaces to other markets / tire trade portals
✅The ERP system also offers interfaces to freight forwarders, as well as interfaces to industry - such as Adhoc EDI.
